Moishe Alexander has supported Torah Umesorah so that they can help bring orthodox Jewish children proper educations.
Today, Torah Umesorah’s membership consists of over 675 day schools and yeshivos, with a total student enrollment of over 190,000. There is hardly an existing community of Orthodox Jews that does not have access to a day school education.
Torah Umesorah continues to found new day schools. and we continue to serve as the pre-eminent support system for the schools, providing Personnel Placement, Curriculum Development, Publications, Principal and Teacher Training, School Supervision, Resource Materials for Teachers, Conferences and Conventions, a Hemshech Program for over 1000 teenagers, and more. We do our very best to provide indispensable materials upon which teachers rely to effectively educate their students.

Women in the world’s least developed countries are 300 times more likely to die in childbirth or from pregnancy-related complications than women in developed countries, according to UNICEF’s latest The State of the World’s Children report. At the same time, a child born in a developing country is almost 14 times more likely to die during the first month of life than a child born in a developed one. The health and survival of mothers and their newborns are linked, and many of the interventions that save new mothers’ lives also benefit their infants. The 2009 edition of UNICEF’s flagship publication highlights the link between maternal and neonatal survival and suggests opportunities to close the gap between rich and poor countries. |

Yeshivas Nefesh Dovid (YND) carries an enormous financial “load” as it caters to the needs of students from different countries with varying levels of education. Its spectacular curriculum includes private speech therapy for each student, paying for interpreters for students mainstreamed in specific classes outside YND, maintaining a full dormitory, daily transportation, a state of the art computer lab and a first-class staff.
Depending on the student, it is not uncommon for YND to not only provide for his schooling but to take care of all his other needs which can include airfare, clothing and summer camp placements.
