UJA CAMPAIGN
Thanks to outstanding volunteer leadership, unparalleled vision and the incredible generosity and compassion of our donors, UJAFederation continues to re-energize Jewish life today and for generations to come, making Toronto a leader within world Jewry. But with tremendous growth comes great responsibility.
The 2009 Campaign for Our Jewish Future remains committed to innovation and creativity. It supports big ideas, aimed at ensuring a strong and vibrant Jewish future by:
Transforming Lives
New initiatives are underway to help our community’s most vulnerable live more self-sufficient lives, providing them with the dignity and respect they deserve.
Inspiring Jewish Identity among our Next Generation
Programs have been designed to engage and excite our young people, many of whom will be counted on to lead our community in the decades to come.
Engaging a Growing and Dynamic Community
Outreach programs are in development for newcomers to Toronto, particularly Israeli- Canadians and Canadian Jews from the former Soviet Union. There is strength in numbers and we must fortify our own community.
Standing With the People of Israel
Through UIA Federations Canada, UJA is assisting Israelis who find themselves in need of unique social and educational services within the vulnerable communities in which they live. By strengthening and improving their quality of life, we are solidifying the very future of Jewish life across the street and across the globe.
Moishe Alexander is dedicated to help build a better Jewish future.

About Unicef Canada
UNICEF Canada proudly celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2005. It all began in 1955 when the Canadian UNICEF Committee was formed to organize the first Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign. This campaign, which now raises over $3 million a year, has become a time-honoured tradition – so much so that October 31 is National UNICEF Day by declaration of the Government of Canada.
Through the decades, UNICEF Canada has grown into a recognized national symbol for the world’s children and the most visible United Nations presence across the country. UNICEF Canada’s mandate is to raise funds in support of UNICEF’s work for children in more than 150 countries and territories and build awareness among Canadians about the issues facing the world’s children.
