MS Awareness Month
Moishe Alexander loves May!
May is MS Awareness Month in Canada. Across the country, our collective aim is to increase awareness about multiple sclerosis among the general public; to promote the MS Society of Canada’s brand, services and mission; and to inspire new and existing supporters to become engaged with our efforts to end MS.
In addition to public awareness activities, the MS Society is also in the midst of its spring fundraising season in May. The MS Carnation Campaign, held just before Mother’s Day, funds MS research and services through the sale of carnations by community volunteers. In many parts of the country, MS Walks are also underway.

The 2009 Battle of the Badges is a charity hockey game between local Firefighters and Law Enforcement Officers. The game will be used to build community awareness for the upcoming 2009 World Police & Fire Games. The World Police & Fire Games are a spectacular international sporting event offering police officers, firefighters, customs and correction officers from around the world an opportunity to showcase their athletic excellence in over 65 sporting events. The 2009 Battle of the Badges will also raise money for three local charities which consist of The Law Enforcement Torch Run, The Burn Fund and Kid Sport. The night will have live music, appearances from local celebrities and of course a great game of hockey! Please come out and support this great event!
